Broncos Raise 20K At Swim Across America

    BOISE, Idaho – Boise State swimming and diving spent this past weekend participating in Swim Across America’s open-water event at Lake Washington in Seattle, for which the Broncos raised over $20,000 towards cancer research.

    The Bronco swimmers and divers raised a total of $20,035, which will benefit the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

    The Seattle Swim Across America event features two-mile, one-mile and half-mile events, with the Bronco swimmers competing in the two-mile swim.

    Boise State will once again be part of an open-water event this weekend, hosting its own Fall Open Water Classic this Saturday (Sept. 17) at Quinn’s Pond. The event features 500-meter, 1K and 2K events with a flat entry fee of $10 for participants 18-and-under and $20 for participants 19-and-older.
