BOISE, Idaho – Boise State swimming and diving was recognized as a Scholar All-America Team Wednesday by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Broncos’ team GPA of 3.60 during the recently-completed spring semester ranked tied for 11th among Division I schools.

Boise State earned the same honor back in January for its work during the fall semester, when it topped Division I with a 3.64 team GPA.

The Broncos’ team effort on this honor was highlighted by senior Sam Wicks, named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Third Team on June 9, as well as junior Brittany Aoyama, a CoSIDA Women’s At-Large Academic All-District 7 pick, and senior Blake Balogh, owner of a 3.97 grade-point average and Boise State’s nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year.

The academic success goes hand-in-hand with Boise State’s success in the pool in 2015-16 in which it finished second at the Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships and qualified four relay teams (200 FR, 400 FR, 800 FR, 200 MR) and three individuals (Wicks, Aoyama, Emma Chard) to the NCAA Championships.
