Broncos Shine At Summer Sanders Meet

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State swimmers continued their strong summer long-course season with dominant efforts at the Summer Sanders Meet from June 8-11 in Roseville, Calif. Seven Broncos made the trip and came home with six individual event titles.

Rising senior and 2017-18 tri-captain Emma Chard led the way at the Roseville Aquatics Complex, winning four event titles. Chard took first in four freestyle events, sweeping the events at 50 meters (26.34), 100 meters (56.74), 200 meters (2:01.87) and 800 meters (8:59.27) while finishing second in the 400-meter freestyle (4:19.36).

Fellow tri-captain and rising senior Emily Mathis captured the 200-meter breast in 2:35.89 and took second in the 200-meter IM (2:21.73), third in the 100-meter breast (1:14.19) and fifth in the 400-meter IM (5:07.67).

The rising juniors of the group also performed well, led by Ally Kleinsorgen winning the 200-meter back in 2:20.21 and taking second in the 100-meter back (1:05.11) while claiming third in the 50-meter free (26.85) and fourth in the 100-meter free (58.95). Cody Evans was third in the 100-meter free (58.45), fourth in both the 50 free (26.88) and 200 free (2:06.22) and sixth in the 400 free (4:34.64), while Laura Williams reached the finals in the 200 IM (14th), 100 breast (19th) and 100 fly (23rd).

Anne Boodt reached the finals of the 200 fly and 400 IM, finishing 16th and 26th, respectively, while Dakota Isaak competed in both breaststroke events along with the 50- and 100-meter frees.
