BOISE, Idaho - Boise State divers Karli Kriewall, Kacee Olson, Cassidy Bose and Taylor Hosein will head to Flagstaff, Ariz., to compete for berths into the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Zone E Diving Championships this Monday-Wednesday. The event will take place at Wall Aquatic Center at Northern Arizona University.
All four divers open up competition on 3-meter Monday, with prelims scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and finals set for 2:35 p.m. Tuesday will feature all four divers on 1-meter springboard, with prelims and finals set for the same times as Monday, while on Wednesday, platform competition begins at 11 a.m. with finals at 1:35 p.m.
Olson earned two All-Mountain West honors at the Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 15-18, finishing seventh on 1-meter and eight on 3-meter. Kriewall had a top finish of ninth on 1-meter, while Bose went 11th on 1-meter and 16th on platform, and Hosein scored with a 14th-place finish on 1-meter.
The top five female divers from each event at their respective zone diving meet are eligible to compete at NCAA's. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the previous year's NCAA championships.
Zone E, which encompasses the western United States, has 11 NCAA Championship qualifying spots on 1-meter, nine on 3-meter and 11 on platform.
