North won two individual events and helped the Broncos to two relay victories in lifting the Broncos to a 186-105 win against Colorado State Saturday, in Boise on Senior Day. North won the 100-yard backstroke for the second time this season in 57.07, the fastest time in the MW this week. She cruised to victory in the 100-yard freestyle by nearly a full second.
The Klamath Falls, Ore., native anchored the Broncos' 200-yard medley relay and swam the third leg on the 200-yard freestyle relay. The freestyle relay finished in 1:35.70, ninth in school history and the second fastest in the conference this week. North helped the medley relay clock a 1:45.33, this week's top time in the MW.
She also swam an exhibition heat of the 100-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 56.32. It was North's first attempt at the event this year and her time ranks 19th in the MW this season, it was the third-fastest time of the week.
North's honor is the sixth MW Swimmer of the Week for the Broncos this season, as fellow senior Amber Boucher has been named the winner three times. Boise State is done with dual-meet competition for the season and is training until the MW Championships Feb. 22-25, in Oklahoma City.
