WHAT IS HAPPENING: The Boise State swimming and diving team will travel to the Flagstaff, Ariz., to face the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at 11 a.m. Saturday morning in the NAU Aquatic and Tennis Complex. This will be the final meet for the swimmers heading into the Mountain West Championships in mid-February, but the divers will have one meet remaining next weekend back in Flagstaff for a four-way team competition. This will be Boise State’s first meet of the year at high-elevation at 6,910 feet.

CHANGE IN DIVING SCHEDULE: Do to a technical issue with Air Force’s swimming pool they have canceled next week’s Air Force Diving Invitational scheduled for Feb. 2-3. Boise State has replaced that meet with one at Northern Arizona which will be a four-team meet Feb. 2-3.

DUAL WIN STREAK: Boise State has an active win streak of nine-consecutive victories, 3-0 in 2017-18, in dual meets dating back to Jan. 6, 2017 when the Broncos fell at UCLA.

BRONCOS EXTEND HOME WIN STREAK: The Broncos victory last weekend over Wyoming in the home finale extended their home win streak in team duals to 23 straight, 2-0 this year. The last home loss was nearly 10 years ago on Feb. 7, 2009 at the hands of Oregon State in the Bronco program’s third year.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Boise State junior Abbey Sorensen was named the MW Swimmer of the Week for her performance against Wyoming last weekend. Sorensen recorded two individual victories in the 50-yard freestyle (22.97, B cut) and 200-yard backstroke (1:59.38), as well as helping Boise State win both relays, the 200-yard medley (1:43.04) and 400-yard freestyle (3:26.14).

LAST TIME OUT: Boise State recorded a dominating win over Mountain West rival Wyoming last weekend in Boise defeating the Cowgirls 187-112. The Broncos won 13 of the 16 events and had eight second-place finishes. The Blue and Orange also claimed the top-two places in seven events: 50-yard free, 100-yard free, 200-yard free, 500-yard free, 1,000 yard free, 200-yard breaststroke and 400 individual medley. Two swimmers recorded NCAA “B” standard times in the meet as Ally Kleinsorgen clocked a time of 54.96 in the 100-yard backstroke, while Abbey Sorensen turned in a 22.97 in the 50-yard freestyle. In addition, Cassidy Bose tallied a NCAA Zone E qualifying score of 285.60 points on the 3-meter springboard.
