BOISE, Idaho - Members of the Boise State football team will be trading in their pads and helmets for some speedos and swim caps in a competition off the gridiron, Saturday, at the West YMCA in Boise, Idaho.

During the swimming & diving team’s meet against rival Idaho, three offensive linemen will take on three defensive linemen in a diving competition, judged by our very own Boise State diving team. The BIG SPLASH’ is scheduled to take place during the second break of competition and is free to the public.

Representing the Bronco defense is defensive tackle Joe Bozikovich, defensive tackle J.P. Nisby, and defensive lineman Jarrell Root.

The O-line features the diving talents of offensive lineman Dan Gore, Matt Slater and Andrew Woodruff.

"I'm really excited to support the swim team as well as show the community that we are more than just beautiful bodies," said Bozikovich. "The word 'lineman' means 'misshapen ball of clay' in ancient Greek, and I like to think about that every time I go off the board. GO BRONCOS!"

The final dual meet of the season will kick-off with women’s diving at 11:30 a.m., with the first swimming event beginning at noon. For more information on the meet itself, visit www.broncosports.com.
