Junior Jessica Bottelberghe posted solid times in the 200-yard IM (2:05.91) and the 100-yard backstroke (57.57). Aoyama finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 55.75, one-hundredth of a second behind the first-place Ute.

"It wasn't our best day," said head coach Kristin Hill. "We're going to use today to get better."

The 200-yard medley relay of Bottelberghe, Sydney Johansen, Aoyama and Katelyn Martin touched in at 1:44.02, five-hundredths of a second behind Utah.

Senior diver Ciera Cortney won the 3-meter with a score of 306.45. Junior Erin Kohlbeck was right on her heels, finishing in second with a score of 306.15. Cortney and Kohlbeck catapulted into the top-five scores in Bronco history the 3-meter with the third and fourth best marks, respectively.

"Both Erin and Ciera are improving on a daily basis," said diving coach John Lynch. "It's great to see them get these kinds of scores, especially knowing there is a lot of room for them both to get better."

The Broncos will head to Provo, Utah to take on the BYU Cougars on Sunday, Oct. 27 at noon (MT) at Richards Building Pool.
