Boise State Finishes Final Day at Nationals

MINNEAPOLIS--The Boise State Broncos competed on the last day of the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The Broncos competed in the 100-yard freestyle and the freestyle relay on Saturday.

Sophomore Sam Wicks and freshman Brittany Aoyama competed in the first and second heats of the 100-yard freestyle, respectively. Wicks tapped in with a time of 49.70 and fourth in her heat (51st overall), while Aoyama stopped the clock in 49.84 and fifth in her heat (53rd overall).

The Broncos competed in the 400-yard freestyle relay on Saturday. The relay, consisting of Aoyama, Katelyn Martin, Jessica Bottelberghe and Wicks hit the touchpad in 3:18.10 for 23rd place.

Boise State failed to score this year on the national stage. The Broncos best finish was Saturday's 23rd-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay.
