Aoyama, Wicks Compete On Day Two At NCAAs

    GREENSBORO, N.C. - Day Two at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships continued Friday as Boise State's Brittany Aoyama and Sam Wicks competed in the 100 fly and 100 back, respectively.

    Aoyama was the first of the two to compete Friday, taking to the pool for the 100 fly. The Mountain West's champion in the event, Aoyama clocked a 53.11, finishing 38th overall in the prelims.

    Wicks was next up in the 100 back. The Anchorage, Alaska native, who finished second in the event at the Mountain West Championships, finished 31st with a time of 53.16.

    Both swimmers will close out the meet Saturday in the 100 free, with preliminary action set to begin at 9 a.m. MT.
