FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Senior Karli Kriewall reached the 1-meter springboard finals at the NCAA Zone E Championships, ending up 15th and missing a spot at the NCAA Championships by four places. The top 11 divers were guaranteed spots at the national meet, and Kriewall's combined score of 524.75 came up 30.50 points outside of the qualifying zone.

Kriewall finished 16th in prelims with a score of 257.80, and climbed up a spot into 15th in the afternoon's finals. UCLA's Maria Polyakova won the Zone E 1-meter title with a score of 656.15.

"Karli had an outstanding performance today. This is the first time she has qualified for a final at Zones, and she put down a solid list of dives in a tough preliminary contest," said Boise State diving head coach Brandon Blaisdell. "In the final she was very calm and really just having fun competing. I believe that's the mentality that has really helped her have such a successful senior year."

Junior Kacee Olson finished 21st in prelims with a score of 253.30, missing a spot in the finals (top 18) by just 2.05 points. Freshman Taylor Hosein (236.20) finished 28th and sophomore Cassidy Bose (200.65) was 48th.

The Bronco divers conclude action at Zones Wednesday with the platform competition. Prelims begin at 11 a.m., with finals set for 1:35 p.m. The top 11 finishers will qualify for the 2017 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
