Boise State Sweeps Hawaii Pacific

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Boise State closed its trip to Hawaii with a sweep over Hawaii Pacific in an exhibition Wednesday night in Honolulu. The Broncos took four of the matches in two sets as they easily put away the NCAA DII team.

Leading the way was Maddy O'Donnell and Hannah Hubbard who earned a 21-12, 21-12 victory at No. 1 pair over HPU's Daista Labrae Kim Spring. The Bronco duo leaves Hawaii with a split.

Sarah Baugh and Sierra Nobley remained perfect on the islands when they beat Carson Pyle and Kennedy Poligratis 21-17, 21-17. They were the only pair to win yesterday against Hawaii.

Kaitlyn Oliver and Maddi Osburn turned in the most impressive performance Wednesday winning in straight sets at No. 3 pair 21-12, 21-8. They also earned a split in two matches at Honolulu this week.

The freshmen tandem of Katie Hall and Sabryn Roberts recorded a victory against the Sharks at No. 4 pair Mahea Pescaia and Carson Pyle 21-17, 21-15.

Boise State's No. 5 pair of Laney Hayes and Jaymee-Lee Bulda were forced to rally from one set down to win 20-22, 21-9, 15-10 over HPU's Kayla Demari and Mahea Pescaia to complete the sweep over the Sharks.

None of these results will count in the record as the match was an exhibition.  Next up for Boise State and the final leg of a long road trip is the Sacramento State Tournament which runs Friday through Saturday.
