STANFORD, Calif. - Kaitlyn Oliver and Maddi Osburn swept their matches on the second day of the Stanford Tournament, but it was not enough to lead Boise State to victory as the Broncos dropped a pair of contests 3-2 to Arizona State and 4-1 to California. Oliver and Osburn won in two sets against ASU, then battled through three sets to collect Boise State’s lone win versus the Cal Golden Bears. The Bronco tandem improved to a team-best 6-1 overall on the year.

“I was really happy with the way Kaitlyn (Oliver) and Maddi (Osburn) played throughout this tournament moving up one position to go 3-1 on the weekend and sweeping their matches today,” coach Shawn Garus said. “I felt everyone played hard and with some breaks things could have turned out differently for us today.
