Isabel Serrano is currently a senior at Rosary High School and a two-time first-team All-Trinity League honoree. Serrano is a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter in center field for head coach Tom Tice and the Royals.
"Izzy is such a fun player to watch and she will be a welcome addition to our outfield," said head coach Erin Thorpe. "We are looking forward to adding her left-handed bat to our offensive lineup."
Serrano batted .386 as a junior in 2012, with a career-best four triples and 25 runs scored for the year on her way to earning All-Orange County Third Team accolades and Rosary High School Junior Athlete of the Year. She led the Royals to an 18-12 record and third place finish in conference before they advanced out of the wild card round and into the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Championship.
As a sophomore in 2011, Serrano hit .463 with 43 hits in 29 games, including seven doubles a triple and one home run. She was named second-team All-Orange County, Rosary's Most Improved Player and the school's Sophomore Athlete of the Year. During her breakout campaign Serrano enjoyed a 19-game hitting streak, which is the second-longest in school history behind former Royal Kaitlin Cochran who went on to be a four-time first-team All-American at Arizona State (2006-09) and a member of Team USA.
Serrano plays her travel ball for Explosion 18u Gold out of Tustin, Calif.
