Libbie Jimenez is currently a senior at Walla Walla High School, where she plays shortstop for the perennial state-title-contending Blue Devils. Jimenez, a three-year letterwinner for head coach Jerry Humphreys, was named to the 2012 All-West Region Second Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association.

"Libbie will use her natural athleticism to help us in all facets of the game," said head coach Erin Thorpe. " We are also excited to add such a competitive athlete to our roster."

She is a two-time All-Big 9 Conference honoree and as a junior earned the Big 9 Defensive Player of the Year Award after committing just four errors and leading Walla Walla to a runner-up finish at the WIAA 4A State Tournament. Jimenez and the Blue Devils fell in the championship game to current Bronco freshman Makenna Weir and Woodinville High School. She batted .495 with 12 extra-base hits for the season.

Jimenez hit .510 as a sophomore, driving in 30 runs and hitting six homers. She and the Blue Devils marched through season to a 27-1 record and the 4A state title, finishing the season ranked No. 30 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Softball Rankings.

On the travel-ball circuit, Jimenez is a member of Absolute Blast out of Bellevue, Wash., which has produced current Broncos Katie Engelbrecht, Lindsey Nicholson, Weir and Madison Foster. She also played for Washington Explosion her first two years of high school.
