Harger, Mancha Earn POY Honors

BOISE, Idaho - The incoming Boise State softball class continues to rack up accolades - the latest being Gianna Mancha and Halle Harger earning player of the year honors from Pag Meter and 940 ESPN.

Mancha, a pitcher and infielder from Central HS in Fresno, Calif., was named as the All-Valley Co-Pitcher of the Year. Mancha went 17-4 on the season, with a 0.73 ERA in 154 innings from the circle. The incoming freshman also excelled at the plate in her senior season,  hitting .478 on the year.

Harger was named the All-Valley Co-Offensive Player of the Year, thanks to a .506 batting average on the season. The Hanford West HS product also hit five home runs. Harger was also named the Softball Player of the Year by the Hanford Sentinel, earlier this summer.

Both Mancha and Harger will join an incoming class of six freshmen, as well as senior transfer Madison Anthony for the Broncos this season.
