NFCA All-Region Teams

BOISE, Idaho –
A record number of Boise State softball players were named to the NFCA Division I All-Pacific Region team, the organization announced this week.

Rebekah Cervantes and Kelsey Broadus were named to the Pacific Region’s second-team, while Ashlyn Adams, Alison Seng, Makenzie Sullivan and Kora Wade were named to the third-team. The six honors this season equal the six total selections in the previous nine years of Bronco softball history (Kathy Cox- 2009-10; Devon Bridges- 2011; Tara Glover- 2012; Rebecca Patton- 2014; Cervantes- 2016).

This is the second time Cervantes has been named to the All-Region team after making the third team as a freshman in 2016. This is the first selection for Broadus, Adams, Seng, Sullivan and Wade.

With their selections to the region’s second-team, Cervantes and Broadus are now in consideration for NFCA All-American. Cervantes also becomes the second Bronco to be a two-time all-region selection.

Cervantes was named the Mountain West Player of the Year, while Broadus was named the conference’s Pitcher of the Year, earlier this week. Seng was a conference first-team selection, while also being a Top 25 finalist for NFCA/Schutt Sports Freshman of the Year, and Sullivan was a second-team all-conference selection.
