BOISE, Idaho - The Mountain West announced its postseason softball awards and all-conference teams Wednesday, and for the second-straight year, Boise State shortstop Rebekah Cervantes has been named to the All-Mountain West First Team. Fellow sophomore Morgan Lamb was named to the second team in a vote by the conference head coaches.

Cervantes is producing one of the best seasons by a Bronco in program history in 2017, batting .421 with 64 hits, 42 runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 49 RBIs. The Bronco shortstop, one of just three players this season to start all 50 games, currently ranks in the program's single-season top 10 in batting average (second), hits (tied for fourth), runs (fourth), doubles (tied for fourth), triples (tied for third), RBIs (fourth), slugging percentage (.711, third) and on-base percentage (.489, third).

The Visalia, Calif., native batted .359 in Mountain West play, leading the Broncos in hits (28), RBIs (17), total bases (41) and slugging (.526) as Boise State went 12-12, its best conference showing since winning 14 games in 2014.

Lamb earned her first All-Mountain West nod thanks in part to batting .375 with 18 hits and a pair of homers in conference play. Lamb especially heated up over the final weeks of the season, batting .522 (12-for-23) with two home runs as the Broncos closed conference play with six wins over its final nine games.

For the season, Lamb is batting .351 with four doubles, six homers and 23 RBIs over 44 games.

Boise State, which at 31-19 has posted the fourth 30-win season in program history, is currently in action at the National Invitational Softball Championship and will face either Utah State or Weber State in an elimination game at 4 p.m. today in Ogden, Utah.
