BOISE, Idaho –
Boise State redshirt freshman Isabelle Butler has been named a Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 Softball selection by CoSIDA, the organization announced Thursday. The honor recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

District 7 of CoSIDA encompasses universities located in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. First-Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-American ballot, with the first- and second-team honorees to be announced in June. This is Butler’s first time being honored by CoSIDA.

A sophomore in academic standing, Butler has a 3.98 GPA as a civil engineering major. Butler has volunteered with the Boise Rescue Mission and Jefferson Elementary School, and served as a student speaker at the Bronco Athletic Association Endowment Dinner this past fall.

A utility player in her second season with the Broncos, Butler has hit two home runs this season, and has batted in eight runs. Playing primarily in the outfield, the Boise, Idaho native has recorded eight putouts on the season.

With two starts and 29 appearances on the season, Butler has scored eight runs.
