COLORADO SPRING, Colo.-Boise State senior Aubray Zell was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 6, the conference announced Tuesday. It is the fifth weekly award this season for Zell, who shares this honor with San Diego State's Bailey Micetich.

In Friday's 6-1 win, the Lakewood, Calif., product scattered six hits, walked one and struck out five to hand the league-leading Aztecs their first loss in conference play. She returned to the circle Sunday for four and two-thirds innings in the 7-1 loss to SDSU, giving up five runs on nine hits and a walk. Zell finished the week with a 3.60 earned run average in 11.2 innings pitched. She allowed 15 hits while striking out six and walking two.
She and five fellow seniors will play their final home games Thursday through Saturday, against No. 16/14 Texas A&M. All three games are set for 4 p.m. (MT) at Mountain Cove Softball Field.
