Catch Bronco Softball Live On Altitude This Weekend

LAS CRUCES, N.M. Direct TV and Dish Network subscribers can watch the Boise State softball team live on Saturday in Las Cruces, N.M. at 2 p.m. (MT). The Broncos and Aggies series finale will be aired live on Altitude.

For Direct TV subscribers, the game will be aired on channel 681. Dish Network subscribers can check out the action on channel 410. Kyle Doperalski will be calling the play-by-play with Katie Doherty. Bronco fans can also follow live stats for free at www.NMStateSports.com.

The first game of Friday’s doubleheader will also be aired on tape delay on Friday night at midnight.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO STATE: The Aggies have been an offensive powerhouse this season with a .345 team batting average, which is up from a .335 batting average that ranked fourth in the nation last week. The Aggies also have top-10 number in homer per game (1.29) and slugging percentage (.536). The team has combined for 54 home runs this year and 108 extra-base hits. Tiare Jennings and Hoku Nohara are the head of the offensive machine with averages of .438 and .426, respectively. Each player has gone deep 12 times although Jennings holds 44 RBI to Nohara’s 35. Both also rank in the top-50 in the nation in batting average, slugging percentage and home runs. The Aggie lineup features seven regular starters with avove-.300 batting averages. Kim Watson and Vanessa Fitzgerald have been the workhorses in the circle this year. Watson leads the club with 146.1 innings pitched and 153 strikeouts. She also owns a 13-8 record with a 2.25 ERA, both being team bests. Fitzgerald holds an 8-5 record with a 4.86 ERA in 63.1 innings pitched. On top of it all, the Aggies hold a 15-6 record at home.
