Wilson Named MW Pitcher Of The Week
April 12, 2016

BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State pitcher Nicole Wilson was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning.

It is the first weekly honor of Wilson's career, and Boise State's first pitcher of the week recognition since Rebecca Patton was selected back on April 23, 2013.

Wilson earned this week's honor by going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and just one walk over 12.0 innings in last weekend's series win over UNLV. The senior tossed a pair of complete games, with the first of those coming in Friday's 10-0, five-inning win, the first Bronco shutout since May 2, 2014 (7-0 over New Mexico).

Sunday, Wilson came back into the circle for the rubber game, scattering seven UNLV hits in Boise State's series-clinching 6-1 win as the Rebels scored just one unearned run in the first inning.

Wilson improved to 6-6 on the season with her weekend performance. Boise State (12-28, 4-8 MW) returns to action next week, traveling to Utah State for a three-game set April 22-24.
