BOISE, Idaho-The Boise State softball team returns home for three games this weekend against Western Athletic Conference foe Louisiana Tech, including a Saturday doubleheader. The Saturday games start at 1 p.m., just hours after the annual Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk, and morning race participants will receive free admission when they show their race t-shirts at the gate.

The Boise State softball team plays its home games at Mountain Cove Softball Field, located at 911 Mountain Cove Rd.

The Broncos (22-13, 5-1 WAC) play host to the Lady Techsters (11-25, 2-4 WAC) in a three-game conference series this weekend. The first game is Friday, first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. The Broncos are 8-0 at home this season.

The Beat Coach Pete race starts at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Campus Recreation Center at Boise State.  The 3.1 mile course ends inside Bronco Stadium, with Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen donating $5 for each racer who crosses the finish line ahead of him.

Following the run, participants can meet Bronco football players in an exclusive post-race autograph event at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex next to Bronco Stadium. This Saturday's meet and greet will serve as the only public autograph event for the Bronco football team. The autograph session will follow the race awards ceremony and is open to race participants and family. The autograph session will end at Noon, just in time to get to the softball field for a pair of exciting games.

Race registration is still open for those wanting to run or walk. On-line registration is closed, but late registrants can sign up at the race.
