NAMPA, Idaho - Saturday's final game of the Springhill Suites Invitational between Boise State and CSUN was suspended due to darkness at Halle Field in Nampa. Play will resume at 9 a.m. MT Sunday morning from the moment of stoppage, with CSUN leading 9-0 in the top of the fifth and with runners on first and second with one out.

Sunday's three-game slate will be played as normal following the conclusion of the Broncos-Matadors contest.

In Saturday's final contest, CSUN did the bulk of its damage through Jessica Alexander's grand slam in the top of the second. Karlie Habitz reaching on Makenzie Sullivan's error at first with one out started the Matador rally, as Tara Kliebenstein and Taylor Nate followed with walks to load the vases. Bronco starter Christina Washington struck out Taylor Glover for the second out of the inning, but with the extra life granted by the error earlier in the frame, the Matadors took advantage as Alexander sent a Washington offering out to right for a grand slam.

Alexander's grand slam was one of three home runs for CSUN in the contest, as Karlie Habitz and Tara Kliebenstein added one apiece.

For the Broncos, Jessica McKay, Tatiana Sorokina and Makenzie Sullivan each had a double, but Boise State could not capitalize on any of them.

Taylor Troost had allowed just five Bronco hits through four innings, while for Boise State Washington gave up five runs (one earned) over the first two innings, with two more runs apiece charged to Veronia Lynch and Rainey Dyreson.
