BOISE, Idaho - Sophomore Makenzie Sullivan smacked a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh Saturday at Dona Larsen Park to give Boise State a 6-5 win over Montana and its third win via walk-off home run this season.

The teams will meet again in a doubleheader Sunday to conclude the 2016 SpringHill Suites Invitational, with the first game set for a 10 a.m. start.

Boise State (6-17) went into the seventh trailing by a run after Montana had scored twice in the top of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. The Broncos only needed three batters to finish the comeback, as Teauna Hughes led off with a walk and was sacrificed to second by Kayla Clausen before Sullivan teed off on an offering from Montana pitcher Meggie Reitz, sending a towering shot out to left-center for the win. It was Sullivan's second homer of the season and capped a day in which she reached base on three of her four plate appearances, drawing a pair of walks along with the round-tripper.

Nicole Wilson picked up the win in relief, striking out two over the final two innings to improve to 2-4. Bronco starter Mackenzie McGill went five solid innings, being charged with five runs on six hits including two inherited runners that scored after she left the game in the sixth.

McGill left the game after issuing walks to Bethany Olea and Ashlyn Lyons to open the sixth, with Wilson coming on in relief. Madison Saacke blooped a single into shallow left to load the bases, but Wilson struck out pinch-hitter Tori Lettus for the first out.

Montana would tie it up, however, as the next batter, Gabby Martinez, lifted a fly ball into right field that scored Olea. MaKenna McGill then hit a slow grounder to short and beat Rebekah Cervantes' throw to first for a hit, allowing Lyons to score the go-ahead run. Wilson would strike out Sydney Stites to end the frame.

Boise State had taken a 4-2 lead with three runs in the third and a one in the fourth. In the third inning, Corey Hendrickson drove in Izzy Serrano with a one-out hit to left, and on left-fielder Katie Jo Waletzko's errant throw home, got to third while Morgan Lamb scored all the way from first. Teauna Hughes then singled through the right side to plate Hendrickson for the 3-2 lead.

Hendrickson, who went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI, drove in her second run on a two-out single to right that plated Tatiana Sorokina, who also had a pair of hits in the contest.

Montana had taken an early 2-0 lead in the first after consecutive doubles from Stites and Lexie Brenneis, followed by an RBI single from Olea. Stites also hit a solo homer in the fifth, capping a 3-for-4 day.

Montana starter Maddy Stensby gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits over the first four innings. Reitz fell to 0-4 for the Griz with the loss, going two and a third before Sullivan's homer.
