FULLERTON, Calif. - A two-run home run from Cal State Fullerton's Eliza Crawford was all it took to end Boise State's weekend at the Long Beach Louisville Slugger Invitational with a 2-0 loss Saturday at Anderson Family Field.

The Broncos (7-13) close the weekend 2-3, and will return home to host the Springhill Suites Invitational at Dona Larsen Park next weekend. The tournament, also featuring Montana, Saint Mary's, Utah State and Weber State, begins Friday (March 6), with Boise State's first game of the weekend taking place Friday at 3:30 p.m. MT against Weber State.

Freshman pitcher Rachel Rodriguez dropped to 3-6 on the year despite a solid outing, giving up just two runs (one earned) on five hits and no walks.

The Titans (12-8) did all their damage in the fourth, as Crawford sent a 1-0 pitch opposite field to left-center for the winner after Sarah Moore reached on an error.

Boise State missed some opportunities to strike first and later to close the gap. Izzy Serrano and Kayla Clausen led the game off with singles, but the Broncos grounded into a pair of fielder's choices followed by Makenzie Sullivan popping out to second ended that chance.

In the sixth, trailing 2-0, the Broncos got a leadoff walk from Devon Bridges. But this chance also went for naught as pinch-runner Lindsey Nicholson was forced out at second on Sara Ketelsleger's bunt, and after Sullivan walked to put two on, another fielder's choice followed by a groundout from pinch-hitter Ashley Palmer brought the inning to a close.

For the Titans, Christina Washington improved to 7-2 after giving up just three hits over her complete-game effort.
