Three members of the Boise State softball team earned All-Mountain West distinction for 2014, the conference announced Tuesday. Tara Glover and Rebecca Patton were named first-team All-MW while Jordan Kreiger picked up second-team honors.
Senior MacKenzie Whyte hit a walk-off home run in the seventh inning to cap an emotional Senior Day Sunday, at Dona Larsen Park and give the Broncos a 5-4 win against New Mexico. With the sweep, the Broncos move into a first-place tie in the Mountain West.

Boise State scored seven runs in the first three innings and cruised to a 7-0 win, behind a shutout from Rebecca Patton. Buggs Torrez led the offense, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Boise State defeated San Jose State 7-6 in walk-off fashion Saturday, April 19, to claim the series. Brittany McCray's two-run home run in the seventh inning tied the game before Tara Glover's double drove in the game-winning run. Ashley Palmer tied the school record with four hits, going 4-for-4.

Redshirt Senior (2014): Named to All-Pacific Region Second Team and All-Mountain West First Team...made 43 appearances in the circle, 36 of them starts...went 25-14 with a 3.04 earned-run average with 26 complete games and four shutouts...struck out 132 batters over 244.1 innings pitched...made a pair of saves over her seven relief appearances...went the distance and allowed just one run in season-opening win over Utah (Feb. 7)...took the loss in her next two starts against N.C. Redshirt Junior (2013): Pitched in 29 games, starting a team-high 28 (fourth in the MW) and going the distance in 11 contests...led the Boise State staff in innings (142.1), strikeouts (103), wins (11) and shutouts (two)...finished the year with a 3.39 ERA and .286 batting average against...two-time Mountain West Pitcher of the Week Feb. 18-24; April 15-21)...made 11 starts during MW play...went 3-4 with a 2.51 ERA in 47.1 innings including one shutout...complete-game victory in Bronco debut against Northwestern (Feb. 9)...allowed one hit and struck out eight in four scoreless innings against Weber State (Feb. 22) during a run-rule victory...threw a shutout in next appearance, scattering seven hits while striking out six and not issuing a walk against San Diego (Feb. 23), en route to first pitcher of the week award...took complete-game extra-inning loss against No. 12/10 UCLA allowing just five hits and two earned runs in career-high 10.1 innings...tossed a three-hitter to beat Portland State (March 17) in 2-1 win...second shutout came in run-shortened game at New Mexico (April 7); allowed three hits and two walks in five innings as Broncos won 13-0...earned second MW Pitcher of the Week after two appearances in series against San Diego State...complete-game win in opener, allowing one earned run and no walks...allowed two hits and one walk in 3.2 innings during series finale...set season high with 10 strikeouts in eight inning against Colorado State (April 26)...did not factor in decision despite allowing just two runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks; game went to extra innings tied 0-0...limited by injury during final two weeks of conference play...Academic All-MW.

Junior (2012): Appeared in 16 games in the circle, making 11 starts...pitched 66.1 innings before season was cut short by injury...had a 5-6 record with five complete games and one shutout...struck out 47 to 15 walks...granted medical hardship after season....started and took the loss against Boise State (Feb. 24) pitching opposite Kenzie Cole and Aubray Zell's combined no-hitter.
Sophomore (2011): Finished second among Big West Conference pitchers in starts (30), fourth in strikeouts (107) and seventh in innings pitched (175.2)...earned Big West Pitcher of the Week honors (April 4) after posting two complete-game, conference-opening victories at UC Riverside...struck out career-high 11 against Fairfield (March 27) in 6-2 victory...pitcher of record in eight of Cal Poly's 11 wins...at the plate, collected 11 RBI, homered during 5-4 victory against NCAA Tournament participant Long Beach State (April 23) and produced four multi-hit games...defensively, posted a .982 fielding percentage with just one error committed in 55 chances...when not pitching, made 10 starts as Cal Poly's designated player and one in right field...in one game vs. Boise State (Feb. 19) went 1-for-3 at the plate and pitched 3.1 innings of relief.
Freshman (2010): All-Big West Second Team...finished eighth among conference pitchers with a 3.48 ERA and ninth with 76 strikeouts...two-time Big West Pitcher of the Week selection (April 19, April 26)...led Cal Poly's rotation with a 2.58 ERA against Big West opposition...produced seven-straight victories between April 2-25...struck out a season-high eight against Buffalo to earn first collegiate victory (March 5)...allowed career-low three hits versus UC Riverside (April 2)...at the plate, hit .283 while slugging .478...homered at No. 8 Arizona State (March 28) and at Long Beach State (April 25)...collected career-high three hits versus Cal State Northridge (May 1).
