Boise State vs. San Jose State Game 1 Highlights

Boise State jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first inning and used a sixth-inning home run from Jordan Kreiger to weather a late storm and hang on 7-6 against San Jose State Thursday, in the series opener. Rebecca Patton earned her 19th win in complete-game fashion. Ashley Palmer also homered for the Broncos.

Boise State defeated Fresno State March 21, in a thrilling 10-inning game. The Broncos scored the last three runs of the game, including the game winner on a bases-loaded squeeze bunt in the 10th inning.

Freshman (2013): Appeared in 49 games with 48 starts, coming at five different positions...started 19 games at catcher, 13 at third base, seven at second base, seven at designated player and two in left field...started the season opener at second base...led the team with 11 doubles, a Boise State freshman record and third-most in a single season...also ranked in the top five on the team in batting average (.296, fourth), slugging percentage (.458, fourth), on-base percentage (.405, third), runs (27, third), hits (42, fourth), RBI (31, second), home runs (four, fifth), walks (24, second), steals (two, fourth) and total bases (65, fourth)...24 walks rank fifth in single-season history and helped her reach base safely in 40 of 49 games played...tied school record with six RBI at UNLV (May 4), including two-out, game-winning grand slam in the sixth...earned NFCA Honorable Mention National Player of the Week accolades after weekend at UNLV; went 4-for-9 with two doubles, one home run, six RBI, four runs scored and three walks...team-best 11-game hitting streak (March 9-24)...drove in 10 runs in the final five games...saw time behind the plate in 21 games, had not played position since age 14...threw out seven would-be base stealers from catcher position (opponents 15-for-22)...while catcher her offensive numbers spiked, batted .429 with a .525 on-base percentage and slugged .653...hit .500 with bases loaded, including eighth grand slam in school history...first-career home run came in a 3-for-3 performance at San Diego (March 2), adding a double, three RBI and two runs scored in a 5-3 win...eight multi-hit games, including two three-hit performances...eight multi-RBI games...started in eight different places in the batting order (all but No. 3)...Academic All-MW...MW Scholar-Athlete.
