RUSTON, La. (11/7/2010) - Boise State University soccer players Erica Parks and Chelsea Robinson were named to the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Championship All-Tournament Team Sunday afternoon in Ruston, La. The Broncos defeated Louisiana Tech 2-1 in double overtime in the tournament’s quarterfinals, then fell 2-0 on Friday to San Jose State in the semifinals.

Parks led Boise State to its quarterfinal victory over the host school Louisiana Tech on Thursday scoring a two goals. The first score tied the match in the 66th minute to force overtime, while the second was the decisive match-winner in the 102nd minute of double overtime. Parks averaged 76 minutes per game taking a total of seven shots placing five on goal and scoring twice.

Chelsea Robinson was a standout in midfield for Boise State averaging 90 minutes per game. She began several of Boise State’s offensive attacks, as well as, stopping several opponents attacks during the two games at the tournament.

Fresno State and San Jose State ended today’s championship match tied at 0-0 before the Bulldogs won the title 3-1 on penalty kicks to advance to next week’s NCAA Tournament.
