Four Broncos Earn All-Conference Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The Mountain West Conference has announced Boise State's sophomore Brooke Heidemann and senior Katy Oehring have been named to the All-Conference First Team. This is the second honor for both Broncos.

Heidemann, the 2012 Mountain West freshman of the year, led the team with eight goals in the regular season. The Meridian, Idaho native has scored four game-winning goals this year and has amassed 19 points.

Oehring, the senior midfielder from Littleton, Colo., has 26 points over her four year career. She has two game-winning goals through her career, and ranks No. 5 in the Boise State record books for shots taken.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Maddy McDevitt and junior defender Mikhaila Bowden both earned All-Conference Second Team honors. This season, the pair has anchored the defensive line to create one of the top defenses in the conference. They helped lead the conference with 0.84 goals allowed per game.

McDevitt, the Edmonds, Wash., native, finished the regular season with a 0.81 goals against average. She finishes the regular season with seven shutouts and a combined shutout, which is a Boise State regular season record. McDevitt ranks No. 3 in the Bronco record books with 19 career wins.

Bowden, the Huntington Beach, Calif., native, finishes her junior season as the anchor of the defense. The three-year starter has commanded play from the back line, dictating action to the front lines. This is Bowden's first career accolade.

Next up for the Broncos is the Mountain West Tournament, held in Albuquerque, N.M. Nov. 4-9. Boise State earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will play the winner of the No. 6 UNLV and No. 7 Wyoming at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
