Boise State's Malia Hendrix Named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Team
BOISE, Idaho (11/3/2010) - Boise State's Malia Hendrix was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine's Academic All-District third team for women's soccer. It is the three-time Academic All-WAC honoree's first national honor. Hendrix was one of 10 student-athletes recognized from the Western Athletic Conference.

Hendrix is a senior from Boise, Idaho (Timberline HS). She has been a three-year starter for the Broncos at defender and has been one of the team's anchors in its defensive efforts that helped the Broncos win the 2009 WAC title. She is one of three players to start every match this year and has started all 63 matches in her career at Boise State since transferring home after one year at the University of Montana.

Nominations and voting for the All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Three Academic All-District teams are chosen in each district, with those on the All-District first teams placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
