Boise State Soccer To Play San Jose State In WAC Tournament Thursday Afternoon?

BOISE, Idaho (10/29/06) The Boise State soccer team found out where they would be seeded in this week’s Western Athletic Conference Tournament. Late this afternoon Fresno State defeated Hawaii 1-0 in overtime in Fresno, California to claim the league’s regular season title. That combined with this afternoon’s result in Boise, a 2-1 Bronco win over Louisiana Tech, makes Boise State the number five seed. They will play the number four seed San Jose State Spartans on Thursday (Nov. 2), time for kick-off is yet to be determined.

 

The top six teams in the regular season standings advance to the tournament beginning this Thursday in Reno, Nevada at Mackay Stadium. The top two receive byes into the semifinal round while three through six square off in the first round with #3 vs. #6 and #4 vs #5.
