Boise State wraps up their regular season with a three match home stand beginning this Sunday with the Idaho Vandals (0-16-0, WAC 0-4-0), kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (mountain). The Broncos will then finish the regular season next weekend when they host Utah State on Friday (Oct. 27) and Louisiana Tech on Sunday (Oct. 29).
Boise State Enters Week At 6-6-2, WAC 1-2-1...
The Broncos went 0-1-1 last weekend with a 0-0 draw at Nevada followed by a tough 2-0 loss at Fresno State. Boise State enters this week at 6-6-2 overall and 1-2-1 in WAC play, currently in sixth place in the league standings.
Senior Brennan Lau continues to lead Boise State in scoring with nine points on three goals and three assists. Annie Tom, a senior from Honolulu, is second with seven points (3g, 1a) followed by senior Kristin Hall and junior Katie Keller with six points each (3g apiece). Boise State features one of the top scoring offenses in the WAC over the entire year with a league second (tied) best 23 goals and a league best average of 1.64 goals per match.
Boise State returned ten starters and 19 letterwinners from last year’s 10-8-2 team that went 4-3-0 in league play to finish in sixth place, one win out of first place. Head coach Steve Lucas is in his seventh season in charge of the Broncos and ninth overall with the program. He has a 52-63-11 record at the school, it is also his all-time career collegiate record as a head coach.

Boise State leads the all-time series 5-3-0 including two straight. Last year the Broncos defeated the Vandals in Moscow by a 1-0 score. Boise State’s decisive score came in the 25th minute when then freshman Randi Baker chipped the ball over the Vandal keeper for the match’s lone goal.
The Vandals enter the week winless on the season at 0-16-0 overall and 0-4-0 in WAC play. Last week they dropped a pair of road contests 2-0 at Fresno State followed by a 5-1 decision at Nevada. Four Vandals have scored one goal apiece in pacing Idaho offensively, Ashley Irish, Jenny Springer, Nicole McAllister, and Sari Morrison.
Idaho returned six starters and 12 letterwinners from last year’s 3-16-0 squad that went 1-6-0 in WAC play to place seventh in the standings. Peter Showler is in his second season as the head coach at Idaho where he has accumulated at 3-32-0 record overall.

The Broncos are in their sixth season as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) where they are 17-23-3 all-time in league matches. However, against the current WAC membership Boise State have gone 19-20-3 all-time against Fresno State (BSU 2-4-0), Hawaii (2-5-1), Idaho (5-3-0), Louisiana Tech (1-0-0), Nevada (5-1-1), San Jose State (3-2-1), and Utah State (1-5-0).
