Boise State Women's Soccer Takes on Creighton in Home Opener

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women's soccer team welcomes Creighton to the Boas Tennis and Soccer Complex Sunday, Aug. 25 at 12 p.m. Boise State and Creighton matched up for the first time in 2011 in Omaha, Neb. The Jays shut out the Broncos in that contest, 2-0. Current Broncos Mikhaila Bowden, Tylyn Hughes, Gabby Garcia and Katy Oehring all started in the matchup.

The Broncos lost to the Idaho State Bengals in the season opener, 2-1 in overtime. Brooke Heidemann, the 2012 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year, scored the lone Bronco goal off a cross from freshman Kayla Tucker.

Both Boise State and Creighton enter Sunday's game 0-1.

Sunday will be Dad and Daughter day at Boas, where Dads and Daughters can get two tickets and two hot dogs for $10 (limited quantity). Fans can stick around after the match for a question and answer session with the Bronco soccer team. Also, girls 12 and under from the Boise State Soccer summer camp can wear their camp t-shirt for free admission. The first 50 students to the Boas Complex will receive a free Bronco t-shirt.
