Boise State Soccer Downs North Idaho 5-0...

Wolverton and Harris record two goals apiece in victory.


WALLA WALLA, Wash. (8/15/2010) - Boise State University's women's soccer team defeated North Idaho College 5-0 this afternoon in a preseason scrimmage at Walla Walla, Wash. It was a solid outing for the Broncos who had seven different individuals play a part in the scoring including four goals by newcomers Rebe Wolverton and Ebie Harris.

Leading Boise State was senior Cheyenne Jones who recorded the game-winner assisted by junior Chelsea Robinson. Two newcomers accounted for the final four goals in the scrimmage. Freshman midfielder Rebe Wolverton followed with two consecutive goals assisted by junior Lindsay Roberts on the first while the second was unassisted off a free kick. Wrapping up the scoring for the Broncos was sophomore forward Ebie Harris who recorded the final two scores on the day, assisted by sophomore Brianne Favatella and freshman Ashley Hruby.

The defending Western Athletic Conference champion Boise State begins the regular season this coming weekend when the Broncos travel to the University of Oregon for the opener on Friday, Aug. 20, followed by a match on Sunday, Aug. 22, at Portland State University. The PSU game has been moved to the Nike Campus in Beaverton (Rinaldo Field).
