The third annual Run For Dunn fun run event was held June 1, in honor of former Boise State soccer student-athlete Amy Dunn (2000-03). The race took place on the Boise River Greenbelt and drew a record turnout of 273 participants. Hear from many of the people who made the event special in the recap video below, including Boise State head coach Jim Thomas.

Dunn, a Boise native and graduate of Timberline High School, was diagnosed with stage IV malignant melanoma in July 2011. After giving it all she had, Amy lost her battle on March 31, 2012. Amy's life and legacy live on at Boise State through the "Amy Dunn #14 Soccer Scholarship" endowment fund, which directly benefits the Bronco soccer program and its student-athletes. Contributions to this fund may be made online through the Bronco Athletic Association. (select "Athletic Endowment" and insert Amy Dunn in the *Notes field.) or via mail making checks payable to "Amy Dunn #14 Soccer Scholarship" and sending to Bronco Athletic Association 1910 University Drive Boise, ID 83725.

Additionally, the Get It Dunn Foundation has been established as an endowment fund held within the Idaho Community Foundation. This is a Donor Advised fund with the SOL Survivors Melanoma Foundation and the Make-a-Wish Foundation Idaho Chapter being the primary grant recipients. All donations to this fund are 100% tax deductible. For more information and to make a contribution, please click here.
