Seventh Annual Run for Dunn Coming Up

BOISE, Idaho –
The seventh annual Run For Dunn event will take place Sunday, June 3, at Julia Davis Park (Shelter #1). Registering for the event includes a t-shirt, post-race BBQ lunch and access to skin cancer screenings from licensed dermatologists.

Check in begins at 9 a.m. with the race scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. The cost to register is $30 for adults and $20 for kids.

Amy Dunn - a Boise native, graduate of Timberline High School and four-year letterwinner defender for the Broncos from 2000-03, was diagnosed with stage IV malignant melanoma in July 2011. After giving it all she had, Amy lost her battle on March 31, 2012. Amy's life and legacy live on at Boise State through the "Amy Dunn #14 Soccer Scholarship" endowment fund, which directly benefits the Bronco soccer program and its student-athletes.

Donations may be made to this fund by mail or online. The Get It Dunn Foundation has also been established, which is an endowment fund held within the Idaho Community Foundation. It is a Donor Advised fund with Make-a-Wish Foundation – Idaho Chapter being the primary grant recipient, along with Courageous Kids Climbing.
