"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Amy's family during this hard time," said Boise State Soccer Head Coach Steve Lucas. "She meant a lot to our program and she made an impact on everybody, including our current players. That's a huge thing for an alum to do and we are going to do our best to honor her."
Dunn, 29, was a four-year letterwinner, playing defense for the Broncos from 2000-03. Her impact was felt throughout her career as she currently sits eighth on the Boise State career list for games played with 73.
The Boise State soccer team held an exhibition fundraiser for Dunn prior to the 2011 season, raising over $12,000 to help offset some of the medical expenses.
If you would like the opportunity to pay respects to Amy and her family, a memorial service will be held Monday, April 9 at the Simplot Ballroom in the Boise State Student Union Building. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the service scheduled to run from 6-7 p.m., and refreshments to follow. Parking will be available free of charge in the Lincoln Parking Garage, located at the corner of University and Lincoln. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations can continue to be made at www.getitdunn.org.
