Bronco Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

Feb. 12, 2014

BOISE, Idaho--The Boise State women's soccer program announced its 2014 spring schedule, which will begin on March 1. The schedule features five games, highlighted by three home games at Boas Soccer Complex. The spring season will begin on March 1, where the Broncos will face Gonzaga in the Blue Mountain Exchange in Kennewick, Wash.

"We're excited for our upcoming spring schedule", said head coach Jim Thomas. "It marks a two-fold change in the way we're trying to address scheduling for our fall and spring seasons at Boise State. We'll continue our yearly exchange with Idaho State and alternate locations each year. It also marks the effort to try to bring in higher quality, out-of-state teams to Boise in order for our local fans and the community to see us compete at the highest level on our home pitch. We will open the schedule with the Blue Mountain Exchange. This is a return to an event we've been a part of in the past and we're excited to play Gonzaga in the spring."

Boise State will return home to play Northwest Nazarene University on March 8 at 10:30 a.m.

The Broncos will welcome Washington State and Utah State to Boise on April 5. The Broncos and the Cougars will square off at 12:30 p.m., and the match against the Aggies is slated for 4 p.m.

"On April 5, we will have Washington State and Utah State both coming into town and we will play them on the same day," said Thomas. "Not only will we play both of those opponents, but they will also play one another. This is a great opportunity for local players and coaches to see what the highest level looks like."

Boise State will wrap up its spring season against Idaho State on April 13 at 3 p.m. in Pocatello, Idaho.
