Bellarmine Prepatory School
BOISE, Idaho - Boise State women's soccer head coach Steve Lucas announced, Thursday, Kelsey Witker of Tacoma, Wash., signed a letter of intent to join the Broncos. Witker was a senior defender at Bellarmine Prepatory School.
"Kelsey is a back that has experience in big games on a regular basis playing for the ECNL," Lucas said. "She's a back-line kid and that's where we lost a couple people this year so it will be an interesting battle in the preseason to see who gets the back-line spots."
Witker was a four-year letterwinner at Bellarmine Prep under head coach Joe Waters. The Lions won the Narrows League (4A) each of the four years she was there. Witker was a three-time All-Narrows First-Team selection at three different positions, starting at forward and moving back to defender by her senior season.
Outside of high school, Witker has played seven years with Washington Premiere FC and one year with FC Royals.
"I chose Boise State because I felt a strong connection with their soccer program and recognized the many opportunities Boise State would provide me academically," Witker said.
