The scoring play was created on the right side near the end line where Haley Locker collected the ball before finding Tiffany Hurst inside the 18-yard box. Hurst put the ball toward goal where Tiffany Halverson was waiting at the back post and directed the ball into the net with her thigh.
The Broncos put up nine shots but did not force Aztec goalkeeper Rachel Boaz to make a save. Sophomore Shannon Schueren led the team in chances with four attempts at goal, getting her best look on a shot from 20 yards out in the first half that flew just over the crossbar while Boaz was out of position.
The Orange and Blue had several dangerous opportunities, winning three corner kicks in the first half and making long counter attacks in the second half.
Redshirt sophomore played all 90 minutes in goal for the Broncos, making three saves.
"We've had some consistent performances over the past three or four weeks," said head coach Steve Lucas. "We need to continue that and things will start happening for us."
Boise State will make its second and final road trip of the regular season next week when it heads to Air Force, Friday, Oct. 12 and Wyoming, Sunday, Oct. 14.
