Heidemann Nets Game Winner in Double-Overtime
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The Boise State soccer team faced North Dakota State on the road on Friday. Sophomore Brooke Heidemann scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Ashley Hruby for the Broncos in the 103rd minute.

Today's game was the third-straight game sent to double overtime for the Broncos, and the fifth overtime of the season. After regulation, Boise State outshot North Dakota State 10-8, but neither team could find the back of the net.

The Broncos also outshot the Bison in overtime 6-0. Redshirt junior Maddy McDevitt made one save for the night, and with the shutout tonight has not allowed a goal in 323 minutes. Heidemann's goal was her fourth goal and third game-winning goal of the season.

"I'm super proud of our team today," said head coach Jim Thomas. "I felt we controlled the entire match but came out a little passive in our intentions. The second half was a completely different matter and the entire team returned to the complex and intricate passing patterns we have established over the first 6 games. After that Division I college soccer happened! NDSU were disciplined and organized in their methods to stops us and North Dakota State's goalkeeper Sierra Bonham had a solid performance to make them tough to score on. I felt we created many quality chances and we hit the bar twice but couldn't find the final touch to get the lead. Regardless we stayed true to our style of play, persistent and tough in our doggedness to not let another OT game slip through our fingers. As I said, I couldn't be more proud of our entire team"

Boise State moves to 3-2-2 this season and gears up for North Dakota at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
