Broncos Picked No. 15 in GymInfo Preseason Coaches' Poll

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State gymnastics has been named the No. 15 team in the 2013 GymInfo Women's Gymnastics Preseason Coaches' Poll. The poll, which was released Monday (Dec. 3), is based on votes from each of the NCAA Division I gymnastics head coaches from across the nation.  

The Broncos drop one spot from their 2012 preseason ranking and final season ranking of No. 14, respectively. The team's 2013 spot is the ninth top-25 preseason ranking since 1997, as well as the second-best all-time preseason ranking (three No. 19 spots, two No. 25, one No. 14, one No. 18 and one No. 21).

Boise State will take on three 2013 preseason top-25 picks in the coming months all, on the road. Oklahoma, who sits at No. 4, will be their first ranked opponent, hosting the Broncos, BYU and Texas Women's University on Friday, Feb. 15 in Norman, Okla. The following week Boise State heads to take on No. 7 Nebraska, as well as unranked Iowa State, in Lincoln, Neb., on Friday, Feb. 22. They face their final ranked opponent No. 20 Denver at the Western Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, March 23.

Alabama, the 2012 national champion, will continue to hold the No. 1 spot heading into the 2013 season. UCLA sits just behind at No. 2, while Florida takes the No. 3 slot.
