Gymnasts Earn MRGC All-Academic Honors

LOGAN, Utah – The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference (MRGC) recently announced the academic all-conference honorees and all 15 Boise State gymnasts from the past season were named to the list. This is the third-straight year that the Broncos had 100 percent of the team earn academic all-conference accolades.

To make the academic all-conference list, gymnasts much possess a 3.2 cumulative grade point average for the 2017-18 academic year (2017 fall and 2018 spring semesters). The MRGC is now in its fourth year of existence after the league was officially recognized as a conference by the NCAA prior to the 2015 season.

The Broncos boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.83, the highest team GPA in program history and in school history.

Courtney McGregor (Health Sciences) led the way with a 4.0, followed closely by Isabella Amado (Kinesiology) with a 3.976, Ann Stockwell (Kinesiology) with a 3.956, Rachel Obmann (Kinesiology) 3.933, Madi Nilson (Chemistry) 3.931, Abby Webb (Biology) with a 3.923 and Tatum Bruden (Biology) 3.914.

Sarah Means (Business) was next with a 3.850, as a graduate student, Mary Frances Bir (Leadership and HR) boasted a 3.842 GPA, Alex Esmerian (Health Sciences) 3.826, Shani Remme (Health Sciences) 3.681, Emily Muhlenhaupt (Pre Med) 3.604, Tessa Otuafi (Health Sciences) 3.433 and Gabriella Bouza (Health Sciences) 3.367.
