Aldrich Earns Player of the Week Honors

BOISE, Idaho Boise State University senior Kristin Aldrich was named Western Athletic Conference Gymnastics Specialist of the Week for the week of March 19-25, Tuesday.

Aldrich, a native of Vancouver, B.C., Canada (Pinetree Secondary), had a stellar performance in the final home meet of her career. The senior posted a 9.925 on floor, recording the first floor title in her four years at Boise State.

The mark set a career high and led the Broncos to their top score of the season on floor (48.675). Aldrich’s performance helped pace the Broncos to a score of 192.725 in the final home meet for head coach Sam Sandmire.

The award, which was the last of the 2007 season, is the first for Aldrich this year.

Boise State closes out its regular season, Saturday, at the WAC Championships at Cedar City, Utah. The meet begins at 6:00 p.m., and will be held at The Centrum.
