BOISE, Idaho The No. 17-ranked Boise State gymnastics team played host to No. 43-ranked California on Friday night in their final regular season home meet. The Broncos (13-3, 7-2 WAC) easily topped the Golden Bears even on a slow night for the blue and orange at Taco Bell Arena. Boise State posted their fifth best score of the season with a 195.40 win over Cal’s 192.700.
Boise State earned wins as a team on all four events, while also capturing victories as individuals on all four events and in the all-around. Senior Lindsay Ward captured the moment during her senior night, winning her 19th career win on bars and her 18th career win on beam. Ward scored a 9.850 on bars to capture the title and move into a tie for first place in the Boise State records for single season victories on bars with seven. On beam, she posted a mark of 9.925, just .025 off her career best, but good for her fifth win on the event this season tying the Bronco record books for first in single season victories as well. Ward’s beam mark was the first mark since February 27, 2004 that was at 9.925 or higher, a mark Ward herself made.

Her sixth win also tied her for sixth in the all-time career wins records on vault at Boise State. On floor, Redmon posted a 9.850 to win her sixth floor competition this season. With six wins in her first year as a Bronco, Redmon is now tied for first in the single season wins category while also tying for No. 8 in the career wins column in the Boise State record books.
