Gymnastics Gearing Up For Friday's Meet by Making a Difference

BOISE, Idaho -Two Boise State gymnastics team members took time out of their busy schedules to make an impact in the community and participate in the "Snuggle-Up-N-Read" event, which celebrated reading through the annual "Read Across America" day. Juniors Hannah Redmon and Sarah Smith joined forces with Shadow Hills Elementary School by reading books, answering questions and signing autographs for the elementary students.

The gymnasts were two of seventeen Boise State student-athletes who were actively involved in celebrating reading by attending elementary schools and reading to children across the city of Boise.

"Read Across America" honors Dr. Seuss's birthday by getting kids excited and encouraged to read.

The Boise State gymnastics team will take on Brigham Young and Utah State Friday evening at Taco Bell Arena.  The meet is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
