Glass, Gaspar Sweep Weekly WAC Honors

DENVER -- Boise State's Amy Glass and Hailey Gaspar have been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Gymnast of the Week and Specialist of the Week, respectively, for the week of Feb. 21-27. It is the fifth honor this season for Glass and second for Gaspar.

Glass, a junior from Vacaville, Calif. (Davis Gymnastics) won the all-around in both the Wisconsin-Stout and Utah State dual meets last week, earning her sixth and seventh all-around titles of the season. Glass scored a 39.250 against Wisconsin-Stout, while posting a 38.700 against Utah State. Her seven all-around titles ties her for the Boise State record for all-around titles in a single season. She also claimed her first career title on floor against Utah State with a career-best 9.900. Glass also won the bars title against Wisconsin-Stout with a 9.800 and tied for first on beam with a 9.825.

Gaspar, a senior from Los Alamitos, Calif. (American Gymnastics Academy) tied her career best on vault Sunday against Utah State with a 9.950, earning her second vault title of the season. She also scored a 9.850 on vault Friday against Wisconsin-Stout to place second.
