The No. 27 Boise State gymnastics team will host No. 30 Southern Utah in its final home meet of the 2013 season on Fri., March 1 in Taco Bell Arena at 7 p.m. MST. The Broncos (8-2) welcome the Thunderbirds (4-6) for "Senior Night" and "Parent Night" festivities in their first meeting this season.
Tickets can be purchased at the Boise State Taco Bell Arena Box Office the day of the event. Prices are as follows: Adults, $6; Junior/Senior, $4; Boise State Students get in free with valid ID. You can also purchase a Bronco Sports Pass for $50, granting access to all regular season home games for volleyball, soccer, wrestling, women's basketball, gymnastics, outdoor track and field and softball.
Fans are encouraged to attend the meet in order to collect the final installment of 2013 gymnastics trading cards. Boise State's senior class is this week's group of 2013 gymnastics trading cards being released. An autograph session will be available following the meet and senior night festivities in Lobby 3.

BOISE STATE "BRONCOS":
Boise State returns home for the final time this season on March 1. They enter the week at No. 27 in the national rankings (according to Troester.com/gym/) after falling from No. 16 last week. This week is the first of the Regional Qualifying Scores (RQS) taking over how teams are ranked, causing the drop for the Broncos. Boise State holds an 8-2 record on the season, including a 2-1 record against Western Athletic Conference teams. They hold a season-high score of 196.325.
The Broncos hold an RQS of 195.195 as a team, while also ranking No. 21 (49.020) on vault, No. 14 on the uneven bars (48.970), No. 37 on balance beam (48.360) and No. 41 (tie) on floor exercise (48.670).
Four Broncos hold national top-100 rankings on individual events this week. Kelsey Black leads the team with three individual rankings, sitting in ties for No. 50 on the uneven bars (9.820 RQS), No. 74 on vault (9.815), and No. 88 on floor (9.80). Brittany Potvin-Green is tied for No. 61 (9.825) on floor and No. 95 (9.80) on vault, while Amanda Otuafi ties for No. 68 on vault (9.820) and Erin Wippermann ties for No. 81 on bars (9.795).
This week's meet against Southern Utah marks the final home meet for Boise State and the seventh of nine regular season meets in 2013.
SOUTHERN UTAH "THUNDERBIRDS":
Southern Utah enters the week with a No. 30 national ranking, as well as a 4-6 record on the season. The Thunderbirds hold an RQS of 194.785, while also ranking No. 31 on vault (48.775), No. 26 on bars (48.770), No. 35 on beam (48.410) and No. 38 on floor (48.745). They hold a 3-1 record against WAC opponents, as well as a season-high score of 195.70.
Three Thunderbirds hold top-100 individual national rankings this week. Caitlin Kennedy ranks No. 49 in the nation in the all-around (38.735), while also tying teammate Natalie Trejo for the No. 72 spot on balance beam (9.780). Jamie Armijo rounds out the ranked Thunderbirds, sitting at No. 65 in the all-around (38.305).
The Thunderbirds compete in their eighth meet of the 2013 season on March 1 and will have two more regular season meets before meeting the Broncos again at the 2013 WAC Championships on March 23 in Cedar City, Utah.
