Bronco Gymnasts Set to Host Quad-Meet

The Broncos of Boise State University are set to host a quadrangular gymnastics meet with No. 11 Oregon State University, UC Davis and Seattle Pacific University, Friday.

The meet is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m., at the Taco Bell Arena, and will be broadcast on Bronco Vision.

Last Time Out...
With a season-high 193.975, the Boise State University gymnastics team finished in first place at a quad-meet, Feb. 17, at Denton, Texas.

With wins over host school Texas Woman’s University (192.100), Illinois State University (192.425) and the University of Illinois-Chicago (189.400), the Broncos improved to 5-7 this season.

Boise State got individual victories on vault (Shaniece Craft), beam (DeAvera Todd) and floor (Yvette Leizorek) at the meet.

The Opponents...
Oregon State The Beavers (6-4) are the 11th-ranked team in the country according to GymInfo. For the second consecutive week, OSU surpassed the 49-point mark on all four events, setting season-highs on uneven bars (49.200), floor exercise (49.375) and vault (49.375) in a triangular meet at Washington, Feb. 23. The Beavers posted the 11th-best team score in school history at the meet, reaching the 196-point mark for the second week in a row with a 196.975.

UC-Davis Junior Michelle Kulovitz tied for first place on vault and scored a career-high 38.775 in the all-around, as UC Davis (5-5) finished third with a team score of 191.450 in a tri-meet at San Jose State, Feb. 23.

Seattle Pacific The Falcons (1-8) posted their third team score in a row above 190.000, but fell to both Oregon State and Washington in a tri-meet, Feb. 23.

The History...
Since 1990, the Broncos boast a 24-2 mark over Seattle Pacific, and have not lost to the Falcons since Jan. 25, 1992. In that same time frame Boise State is a perfect 11-0 against UC Davis and 0-9 against Oregon State. Series records only include the regular season.
